I'm 37 and brought up concerns about my digestive health and asked about getting a colonoscopy. Dr. Barraza listened carefully, took my concerns seriously, and didn't dismiss me. He's clearly aware that colon cancer is increasingly affecting younger patients and used his clinical judgment to move forward with appropriate testing. I'm incredibly grateful he did. He found a large amount of polyps, some precancerous. This experience reinforced how important it is to have a doctor who truly listens to their patients.
Rude office staff. Thought they put me on hold and complained about me, then claimed I was never a patient. Doctor isn't friendly or a good listener either.
Today, I had my first colonoscopy at Northwell Health Lenox Hill Greenwich Village Surgery Center, and I have to say, the whole experience was surprisingly wonderful. I walked in feeling nervous and tense, and within minutes I felt completely taken care of. Everyone I interacted with was kind, calm and really good at what they do. This is a review of Dr. Barraza’s office staff. I don’t know if he’s a good doctor because I didn’t get to my scheduled appt. My appt was at 2:00pm. I came from work across town with my foot in a cast. I checked in and did the paperwork online. The front receptionist called me at 2:02 to see where I was for my appt. I told her I was one block away and that I would be there shortly. He has helped me tremendously about what to do with what I need to get done about my health. He asked questions and found out the problem as I told him what was happening. I'm glad I have someone who is knowledgeable, cares and that is important with an excellent bedside manner.
