If I could only give 1/2 a star!!! I got the Jheri curl mix and as soon as the salt water touched it- it shriveled into single Freeform lock. Went to Lugos and she was just as nasty as these poor reviews say. As soon as I pulled it outta the bag she dismissively said “well you put it in saltwater. That’s what saltwater does.” I explained that it needs to be explicitly stated that it cannot get wet and absolutely under no circumstances exposed to saltwater. I don’t care how good people say this hair is… the service is HORRIBLE!!! I called the day before and they we’re expecting me the next morning. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that said “closed.” But one of the workers came out with a customer and I asked him why are they closed. He said that they only have long length (26”) and no one wants to pay the money for it. Excellent quality! I love how amazing Lugo's hair blends with my natural hair - I have tried several different types of hair company's and by far Lugo's is the absolute best quality, service and supreme customer service. I remember Tony Lugo when he had his shop in Brooklyn in the 70s. It was an awesome sight to see!! All grades of quality hair and there were at least fifteen people working in the shop. They could mix ANY color you wanted to perfection. When I found out they had relocated to Manhattan, altho I was certain Tony had long ago retired and was probably no longer alive, I was sure the company had expanded and was even Better than before, especially since so many these days, even guys, put extensions in their hair. I am so disappointed with both purchases from this company. During the pandemic my local hair supplier was unable to restock. So my stylist suggested your company. I sent your company a sample of the hair and texture , your staff "Sue" assured me you could match. Your company offered a single weft and a double weft at the time had I had never purchased hair in that manner. Sue did tell me about shedding difference between the 2 preparations. Lugos do better! Competition out there is tough! You can’t just dismiss customers and think the NEGATIVE word won’t spread! I spoke to Peter at Lugo. I purchased hair on June 2. I explained that the hair I purchased is very dry, knots too easily and sheds uncontrollably. I possibly was sold a bad batch. He said other customers did not complain and their batches of hair are good. He said sorry. He is not changing it. He recommended I use K2 shampoo and conditioner because what I used wasn’t the right product for Lugo hair.... read more
