Took my 2014 suburban in for some engine work and to have an issue with the gas tank fixed. Dave quoted us a very reasonable price, however upon pick up the price had doubled. After a back and forth he admitted to never pricing the parts just giving a round about estimate and never informed us about the increase in price. I thought I found a competent engine builders for my project. I was proven wrong. I gave Dave my 86 Chevy C10 and asked for a newly built 350 engine and transmission. I also purchased 2k in truck accessories and looked forward to the results. A promised one month project turned into 2 months. I was given a powerless engine with a loud tick. The same noise my old engine had. The transmission will not shift until the rpms are high and when it shifts it gives you whiplash from the jerking. RUN away from this guy!! May 2021, I gave my Big Block Chevy to David to be build a 496 from the ground up. I dropped off my parts, and a block to build on, and plenty of cash for the project.... Delay, Delay, excuse, excuse, "I'm almost done with it he told me!" He stopped answering my calls. One year later I came to check on my motor.
