I found this seafood restaurant while driving through Bodega Bay on a Sunday late afternoon. The service was great and fast. It was not full so I had a front window view of Bodega Bay. I started with a bowl of clam chowder that was delicious. I had the salmon fish and chips with coleslaw and it was super tasty. This restaurant is right next to the bay. You can sit near the windows and watch the sea life. Wonderful food and fresh fish.
The sun was fading. Shared the Cioppino (sp) with spouse. Very good. - nice. Had had a cocktail at Duck Pond earlier as sun set- very nice. Lucas salad could have had at Denny's. Further, they need to discover SF sourdough bread. Place needs a Management / Chef make over but was still a good value for the $$.
Lousy at best. Owner doesn't seem care. – As a former restaurant owner, I try to give breaks where I can to other places that might have a bad night. However, Lucas Wharf tested my compassion. Went there on a recommendation from a colleague who had good things to say about it. The place seemed cozy and inviting.
