Important to know, they don't need to contact you to turn off your power. Even if you have infants that require oxygen. All they need, apparently is no answer when they try to call you once, and they can shut off your power. No notice delivered to house, no contact with the tenant, and they will shut that power right off. Don't think the laws about not shutting off power in freezing conditions will help you at all. A monopoly of greed and the worst power company I have ever dealt with. Definitely something shady going on and I think the public deserves transparency. Trying to get my family on some help/assistance with bills but they want $700 to get this assistance. Does that not seem a bit assassin to you? What a completely ridiculous business model also if I may add. If I didn't know that it was a electric company I would say that it was an MLM right along with Mary Kay and LuluRoe stuff.
Put temporary power on top of the ground for a temporary fix, came back 10(!!) months later, fixed it, TRASHED my yard and called it good….
It is really sad when you do business with a company for 25 years and they charge you a deposit to have power when you move. I have always paid extra on my power bill, which I advise you not to do because if there is a month or two that you owe say less than $10.00 then they want a deposit to give you service. Never had my power turned off for nonpayment. This is a bad company to do business with. To bad there is not another company that offers power.
