Maternity Ward Their Maternity Ward is excellent.The staff is friendly,helpful and accommodating.I had to go for stress tests prior to my delivery date and it was always a relaxing experience.I was induced 2 days prior to my due date and ended up having a c-section 4 days later...The Nurses and Drs were excellent through all of it.
THE KIDS NEED THEIR OWN EMERGENCY WARD OF THE HOSPITAL What I really don't like about this place is They don't have a pediatrics. Emergency Ward like they should.I recently had to visit the ER with My 1 yr old whom was very feverish do to her immunizations,and the NURSES were WONDERFUL that took care of MY BABY .However one of the issues I had was when the Nurse came to tell me the diagnosis of My Baby instead of the DR. coming to tell me and then the Nurse coming to go over her discharge from the Hospital.However the DR. di... read more
labor &delivery and special care nursery.....OUTSTANDING! I have delivered both my children at Lowell General and can't say enough positive things about them! The nurses are incredible in Labor and Deivery! The have a Special Care nursey for babies who need extra care due to being premature or any other problem. My son spent 4 days in the Special Care Nursey. Being my first born I was extremely nervous and constantly worried! The nurses answered all my questions and never made me feel silly for asking them. Good lab for blood testing I had to do some blood testing at the lab in the hospital. It was a requirement that I register at the hospital. I was surprised that they did everything pretty fast. I was in and out within 20 minutes. The lab was also very clean and the waiting area was good. PROS: clean lab, not much wait CONS: Have to register at the reception
