Dr. Palmer is a phenomenal. He is personable, responsive, and understands the nuances of driving regulations to help complete vision forms that are needed for low vision drivers in a medically accurate but also fair way. As a physician, I was impressed by his dedication and grateful for his support. I would strongly recommend him to all low vision patients particularly those hoping to maintain their independence with driving.
I don't often leave reviews, but in the case of Dr Palmer, I feel I need to. My 89 year old Mother has been a patient of Dr Palmer for over a year now. She suffers from macular degeneration and had lost her ability to read. Dr Palmer's knowledge and patience along with a pair of specialized glasses has helped to remedy that. Thank you Dr Palmer!
Dr. Palmer spent so much time with me and explained my vision issues With more clarity than anyone has ever done in my 70 years of wearing glasses. Macular degeneration has taken away my central vision but now my new glasses with a prism have allowed me to have clear vision again while watching TV and also doing things such as going to museums, one of my great pleasures in life. Visiting the Low Vision Restoration Clinic was first very stressful, I have seen the same optometrist for 30 years. They retired, and it was time to find a new optometrist. Before, i found Dr. Palmer I had seen a few different doctors, but having low vision they were unsure of what might help me or how they could help me. Dr. Palmer does an amazing job of getting to know his patients and their needs. I am grateful for the glasses he has designed for my son.
