The owner makes the Hr lady do his bidding as well as the insurance claims specialists. They can't do anything unless the aggressive owner who threatened me many times as well as his other manager because they didn't want to pay me after their guys broke a $900.00 flat top stove. I was initially very satisfied with Low Budget Movers when I was getting our move put together but that quickly changed when the actual move occurred. When I initially called in I asked for a quote and the gentleman I talked to said based on the size of our house, and the area we were moving to, we should expect to be moved to our new place within 3 hours and we shouldn't be spending more than $500. The worst experience I have EVER had. I have moved 11x in my life and never had such a nightmare. The owner, I believe is *****?..., is not only rude and unprofessional, but sat there and tole me how great their reviews are and how they never have had a complaint. I filed a formal compliant with the ** BBB due to them breaking items, being late with zero notice, charging me more than they initially quoted, and for screaming at me on the phone when i made a complaint. Horrible company, I wish I would have read these reviews sooner. Gave me a 1-3pm move time, I waited all day until finally at 5pm they arrived. We had to call over and over to figure out where these guys were, I confirmed the day prior that they would arrive with a truck and they came with *******. I was talked to so disrespectfully by the crew after all of this, he told me I had an attitude - of course I do! They were sloppy, packed boxes only half full, did not label the rooms they came from and packed produce which began to deteriorate and rot before the boxes were even loaded in the truck. Items broken when unpacked because they werent properly wrapped. Left several boxes not even adequately taped. Used expensive wardrobe boxes for items such as a shoe rack. We provided pictures and description of what we needed moved. The house was packed and boxed up. They quoted $1400-$1500. The quote includes 3 movers and and 2 trucks. They showed up with one truck and halfway though said it would be $2500. I asked why and wanted to speak with a manager which never happened. They left the job unfinished and charged $1700. I had to hire other legitimate movers to come finish the job. Very displeased and disappointed. Will not use again.
They were almost 6 hours late from the window time given 0700-0900. My 80 year old parents were forced to move July 31st during the heat of the day in Phoenix. They booked another job before my parents in Casa Grande. So they traveled from Mesa to Casa Grande, and my parents moved from Casa Grande to Mesa, which is classified as a back haul. They still charged me travel time plus the hours the move took. Double dipping? I would have gladly paid travel time had they arrived on confirmed time. ***** *****
Worst most dishonest company I have ever worked with. We had them pack all Of our stuff for a move across country. Movers broke the legs off our couch. They said they took photos and insurance would cover cost of couch. Just talk to them today 3 weeks later and they said they could only pay us 75 dollars for a 1000 dollar couch. They said they can only offer that because we didn’t bring the destroyed couch with us to Tennessee
