Avoid for cartilage piercing at all costs. I had my mid helix pierced, the girl used a gun and butterfly back. Ten days later the infection was so severe I had to go to ANE and have urgent removal. The piercing specialist said the bar was far too short and you should never use a butterfly back on this type of piercing. It's caused me such severe pain, and they aren't abiding by standard safe piercing practise. These stores should not be allowed to pierce anything other than lobes.

I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Lovisa. My nose piercing, which I got done at their store, suddenly popped out. When I went back for help, instead of properly assisting me, the staff dismissed the issue by saying it was “my skin rejecting the piercing.” This was very unprofessional, especially considering I’ve had multiple ear piercings done before without any issues. The staff Charlotte helped me with my first piercing with such kind hospitality. I was very nervous about it, but now I truly believe that getting my ears pierced was the right decision :)
