Additional information for this review. I obtained my xrays. There was only one taken of my chief complaint. Three xrays were taken of an area that wasn't injured and I never even mentioned. This ER trip followed an ER trip at a different facility the prior week. Xrays were negative but I still can't use my hand. Dr. Therrien gave me one day to make an appt with his referral, which was Lovelace Ortho. They told me they only treat bones. I complained of four injuries and two of them were completely ignored and left untreated.
I lucked out because no one was in the waiting area when I got there so they saw me immediately. The nurses were so kind along with technicians who took excellent care of me. Not a bad wait and I was given pain medication which was a life saver so I could be more comfortable. Turned out I had 3 fractured ribs. Thoroughly explained discharge instructions. Everyone was kind and thoughtful. Best ER experience I ever had.
I am glad they showed their true colors so I could leave. Very sloppy place. There is so much wrong with this place. I am on a blood thinner that one has to be off 7-10 days for surgery and I found out this after the fact. They were aware of it, but were ready to do surgery in 2 days of being in the ER. They screwed up with putting things on me and in me that I have a severe reaction to. It is in my chart. I am so glad that anesthesia was a crabby old goat and I decided to leave.
