Bad experience at this shop. The owner only cares to make as much money as he possibly can.
My wife paid $399.24 for a battery and installation at Lou's Automotive in December 2025. The invoice clearly says "4 year warranty on battery." On April 6, the battery would not hold a charge. My wife brought the car in. They tested it and told her the battery was bad. They ordered a replacement and set an appointment for April 10 to swap it under warranty. I took my car on Monday ,March 23,2026. My car was having some engine issues and air flow issues.Lou was great in fixing the issues and my car drives like the day i drove of the car lot. Thanks Lou making my journey safe and wonderful.Its great , I found a honest mechanic shop , doesn’t over charge and quality workmanship.
We were stopping by in Sault Ste. Marie for our roadtrip and swung by Lou's right when they opened to have them look at our car's loose heat shield. They were very accommodating even though we had no reservation, took a look at our car, and fixed it up (the shield had broken off so they re-screwed it on) within 20 mins of us arriving. So fast and very kind workers!
I was recommended to come here through a coworker and I'm very happy with the results. Staff are very friendly, it was easy to book my car in, and the price was very reasonable. I'll definitely be returning for any future work on my car.
