My experience with Guthrie Pulmonary was outrageous. I wrote a review on the Pulmonary review page, but am still so angry and disappointed in my experience. I’ll try to simplify it : 1. My primary sent a referral to Guthrie Pulmonary and said they’d call to set up an appointment. 2. I called Pulmonary after several days of hearing nothing. Well, I went into the hospital on Monday march 17, 2025 my first experience in the ER was horrendous which I wrote in Google about but once I was transferred up to the unit I have never been in the hospital where they was so thoughtful so kind so generous and so attentive to the patient in the room, I would like to thank the doctors the nurses, the social workers the counselors the CNA the janitors, the kitchen workers, the people that did the MRIs and the CAT scans and all the radiologist. I am sorry this is so long, however, this is why you have a place to give your comments and concerns. This is a hospital that needs some updating. You are only sometimes a priority. You wait over 2 hours for a nurse at times. After calling a nurse I waited over an hour and a half the night prior to discharge, was told over the intercom (which by the way they use to talk to you when you call for help)that they told my nurse I asked for medicine, when I called again, I was told that they spoke to my nurse and I wasn't due for ... read more

Went to Guthrie for severe head/neck pain and face numbness. The wait was kind of long but no hospital can avoid this on certain days. The E.R. staff was very attentive and caring. The neurology team was wonderful. The people I encountered genuinely cared and I felt it. And I appreciate it SO much. Thanks Guthrie for puting my mind (literally) at ease!

One week ago today I had total hip replacement. Dr Tom VanGorder was the surgeon. From check-in to discharge, I found the staff, nurses, doctors, and orderlies to be extremely patient aware, attentive, knowledgeable, caring and professional! The home care follow-up is also very impressive . Nobody wants to get cut, but from this first surgery experience, I would choose this team again!
