Louisiana Wildlife Federation is based in my hometown, Baton Rouge, and I am so thankful for all they do for my state!
There are many single-subject conservation organizations in Louisiana - DU, CCA, Audubon, Safari Club - and I love and support them all, but no other state-wide conservation organization (founded in 1940) does for its citizens, its wildlife, and its environment what LWF does. On a shoestring budget with only a couple of employees and a lot of volunteers, LWF protects our natural resources and the rights of all to enjoy them - whether bird watcher, paddler, angler or hunter.
