I always call my order in for take out. Food has always been tasty, especially the greens and cabbage. Problem is that they're out of my favorites alot and don't tell me until I pick up my order. Now, with the most recent health inspection report and the restaurant closed due to cockroach infestation, I can't stomach eating there again. Owners/Staff knew about the problem and continued to serve the public.

Love that we have a black owned restaurant nearby to support. This spot has history of community connections and has made a lasting impact for many years. The menu options include many soul food stables that you remember enjoying as a kid at grandma's house. They even offer kool-aid. I will say over the years that we've bee customers, the food quality has took a decline. The flavor is not as good and the last time I ate my stomach was hurting for a few days. We had dinner on Juneteenth to support a local restaurant, The one Employee when we asked for potato salad, said that’s a bad choice you don’t want that , the service was terrible the two employee lady’s were cussing each other out, we were a party of three and one of us that ordered last got their food first then they came back to tell the other two that they only had enough shrimp for the shrimp plate and I the person who ordered the three-way had to get something else, it took over 30- 40 minutes to get our food and there... read more

I have been here on other days and the restaurant has been closed despite it saying it is open online. I don't know if it closed permanently but I came here last week and it was closed at 4pm. Now I am here on a Tuesday at 12pm and it is closed. They have a business hours sign on the front window that matches what is online but they are not here. And they still post meals on *too good to go* so you don't realize they are closed until you get there. I'm tired of wasting gas.
