General Information Operating Hours: The Louisiana Center for the Blind is a 24-hour residential training facility. Scheduled classes are delivered from 8: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Required and optional activities are routinely scheduled in the evenings and on weekends. Phenomenal program! Change my life forever with new alternative skills and blindness that made me more confident and competent as a blind independent woman and by offering me instructors and lifelong friends that have positively alter the course of my journey.
I did the first part of my National Orientation and Mobility Certification here and I learned so much more than I ever expected. Plus I miss the food! This place helped shape me into the person I am.
I think the Louisiana Center for the blind is one of the best training centers in the world. It really gave me my independence as a blind person and change my life forever.
