While we were in Minnesota, we stumbled across Louis Restaurant Bar & Grill, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. This place is about as close to authentic Italian food as you can get. From the fresh salads and incredible subs to the perfectly cooked Chicken Marsala and homemade gelato, everything tasted like it came straight from an Italian family kitchen. Great food and Mariah did a wonderful job.
I'm not sure why Louis even exists. An okay Italian restaurant on top of a local treasure. It took a long time for me to finally go to Louis, and I left before the main course to go downstairs for some real food. Louis sits somewhere in Dreamland, thinking that it's fine dining, but it is not really even close. The menu doesn't have it. The staff doesn't have it. Louis is not a fine dining restaurant.
