I scheduled an appointment looking for medication weight management. Dr. Balsama steered the appointment towards bariatric surgery and made it sound like it was my only option. He also did not explain the risks, post surgical complications, or long term consequences and life-long changes. After reading the packet the office sent me home with and doing research, I was in tears the rest of the day feeling extremely high anxiety and hopelessness. Really enjoyed meeting Dr.Balsama. Pleasant, great personality and definitely made you feel comfortable. The tech , I’m sorry I forgot her name was wonderful. Definitely will follow what he said that’s how confident I am with him.
I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon Dr. Lewis Balsama with Virtua my incisions are barely there anymore and you can tell I will not be having any scaring. Unlike my first surgery which was performed by a different doctor Alison with Virtua Medical Group I have scaring even after my first surgery in 2024. Not only that but I had so may issues with this surgeon I called up the office ask to switch Doctors right away and I have been with Dr. Balsama ever since and he has been a godsend.
