Dr. Louis Chang, has performed two surgeries for me. The last procedure, a lumbar fusion, was challenging. Dr. Chang wanted me to explore pain management venues before deciding to move forward with the surgery. I appreciated the time he spent with me as well as his cautious and careful approach. I came to Dr Chang in 3'25 after a botched laminectomy with another Surgeon (10'24) which left me with excruciating pain in my Right leg and foot 24/7. I could not walk, it got to the point where I didn't leave my house because of the pain. Previous to the first surgery I was very active, I got the first surgery bec I could not stand up straight. I was struggling with severe stenosis and sciatica causing lower back pain, pelvic pain, leg numbness, knee pain, and numbness in the top half of both feet. Dr. Chang along with his team at JH Suburban Hospital in Bethesda performed a L5-S1 ALIF, L2-3 LLIF along with posterior extension of a previous construct, fusing L2 to S1.
