We were looking for a place for lunch and we always lean towards local, non-chain places. Louie's had good reviews and so we decided to give it a try. We found that it has a 100+ year history (not all at that location). It's a meat market and several people came in just to buy meat while we were there. First time visit for weekday lunch. Very nice, upscale meat counter with other artisanal products on offer. Quick counter service for our sandwiches. Much-touted Italian beef was more like pot roast—not sliced beef. Pricing is a bit high. Fountain drinks with refills was a pleasant surprise for dining in. Limited seating—only a handful of tables and small counter for dine-in.
Great deli feel! I had the Italian Beef sandwich with hot giardinara. Fantastic. Will be back.
5/5 Stars – Incredible Mortadella! I stopped by for the mortadella sandwich and it did not disappoint. The meat was sliced perfectly thin, and the bread was fresh and crusty. Beyond the food, the service was excellent—the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. A great spot for a high-quality lunch with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
