Excellent chinese food! If you are in Warren, you've GOT to stop at Lotus Pond! The food is fresh and the service is always very good. The atmosphere is very nice- nicer than most Chinese restaurants. Chinese decor done tastefully. I also love their egg rolls - they use bean sprouts, not cabbage. They are located on the west side of Hoover just south of 12 mile. Give them a try- you won;t be disappointed!

RecommendedLotus Pond has been our go to Chinese place for over a decade. I went there for a carry out today and we were extremely disappointed with the fried rice. It typically is a deep brown with chicken, sprouts and green onion in it (lots of flavor). Today it was very light brown with a little chicken but no where near enough soy sauce (actual clumps of white rice) and no sprouts or green onion. I am wondering if they have new management.
This was a joke! Ordered Beef and Broccoli and there was 2 small scraps of beef and all the rest was broccoli. When we called to complain their response was “Do you know how expensive beef is”!? Save your money and go somewhere else.

We ordered carry-out tonight & the food was TERRIBLE! First, I could'nt cut through the pork in the Wonton Soup(undercooked). The chicken fried rice was stuck together(as if it had been sitting there since they opened). Finally the S&S Pork was so dry & tough that I could only get my fork 1/2 way into it. My husband packed up the food to take it back & called before he left & was told they had'nt had no complaints today so they were not going to do anything for us. $34.00 is a lot of money to waste these days.
