I was visiting friends in Fort Lauderdale, and we decided to go to the Lotus Chinese kitchen. We arrived at 6 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2026. I expected the restaurant to be busy, but there were only four diners! We were seated immediately, given menus, and our server was very attentive. I've taken food out several times, each time hoping it will be better. Each time I've been very disappointed with my spare rib and General Chos chicken orders, unfortunately.
Very good food. Coming from the north, I thought this was the best Chinese food in Ft. Lauderdale.
I ordered delivery through Uber eats. We thought we would try it again after a bad experience but this was worse! The mixed eggs drop soup was brown liquid with a couple of wontons and the shrimp in lobster was watery and more like a soup. We paid $73.00 for this? Yes - I understand delivery adds cost but I am happy to pay if quality is there. Won’t make this mistake again.
