This business has a very long history of negative reviews, descriptions of vile, unwelcoming, rude, abusive, toxic, and unprofessional behavior spanning more than a decade. Reviews I wish we had read before subjecting ourselves and our group to the wholly unacceptable abusive behavior of the owner. Lost Resort is a 2 hour drive from Port Angeles, and a great starting point for several hikes inside Olympic National Park.
Great location, but that's about it! We failed to read any reviews before booking a cabin here for two nights - that's on us. All of the bad reviews are accurate. For $150 a night, you might expect a reasonably comfortable bed and easy access to a clean bathroom. Not happening at the Lost Resort. The cabins are cozy but the mattresses are old and rock hard. It ain't fancy, don't come thinking it is. It is completely adequate though. If you came to hike and what not, it will do everything you need it to do. We had a cabin, no running water, but electricity and a heater. Bring your sleeping bag and stuff, there's no blankets. Not fancy, but kept us warm and dry on a wet night. It does seem like the campsites could use a little love, but it was early in the season so maybe they just haven't gotten there yet. In fact we were the only people in the whole place.
