Thé shop recommended to change the engine on our 1965 jeep CJ5 and we agreed on a price. But it's probably due to the part shortage and ukrenian war or Ida Hurricane but it took way longer to the shop to get the parts needed to fix it. After 3 months they finally told us it was entirely changed and done and ready to cross the country with the car. We started driving it and not even 10 miles later a huge smoke came out of the hook and back of the car. We were on the highway and the patrol asked us to get a fire control the car was leaking gas and other oils, the radiator burned out and we had to tow it back to our new home in the high desert (quite a distance from Los Feliz but they couldn't take the car back that day). Some mechanic checked the car and the engine has the oil totally black! When ut was supposed to be entirely redone. Strange and totally unprofessional but I forgot to mention that they charged us twice the price without informing us that they raised the price. From there they said that the engine was under garantie and they will come and pick it up and bring it back in the desert. Today, 2 other months later or 3, we need to get the car by ourself at the shop when they promise they will tow it back and we don't even feel confident about the engine. We are not happy at all about the service. And the car was so dusty after all that time there. They have a cleaning service they could have at least cleaned the windows ... to give some visibility
