My parents had used this mechanic for 20 years. Mgmt changed and I went in to inquire about my tire light staying on and was charged $500 for something that was never explained and they charged my card on file without asking. When I called to ask what happened they said they would call me back and never did. Light is still on.
Alejandro has been my Volvo whisperer for over 8 years. He’s honest, efficient, and explains things clearly and makes sure you understand what’s going on with your car before doing anything. It never feels rushed or like he’s trying to sell you something you don’t need. If you're looking for a trustworthy, experienced, and reliable mechanic, I can't recommend Alejandro highly enough. He’s the reason my car is still on the road 205k+ miles later.
Really frustrating to have to navigate around these cars on the sidewalk everyday. There are always at least 2 cars taking up the entire path, even though they have a giant shop! Would be nice of them to show some respect for their neighbors and not take cars they don't have the space for.
These guys are Honest, caring and careful. Anyone complaining about cars on the sidewalk : newcomers to the neighborhood should respect the industrial roots of Gowanus and the fact that this business has been here for over 25 years. They’re always parking cars on the sidewalk (unfortunately typical behavior of auto shops in nyc). Really annoying, and oftentimes unsafe, to navigate as a neighbor when I have to walk on the street instead of the sidewalk nearly every day.
