Really frustrating to have to navigate around these cars on the sidewalk everyday. There are always at least 2 cars taking up the entire path, even though they have a giant shop! Would be nice of them to show some respect for their neighbors and not take cars they don't have the space for.
These guys are Honest, caring and careful. Anyone complaining about cars on the sidewalk : newcomers to the neighborhood should respect the industrial roots of Gowanus and the fact that this business has been here for over 25 years. They’re always parking cars on the sidewalk (unfortunately typical behavior of auto shops in nyc). Really annoying, and oftentimes unsafe, to navigate as a neighbor when I have to walk on the street instead of the sidewalk nearly every day.
I took my car to his mechanic after I was unfortunate enough to get m catalytic stolen from my car. It didn't last six months before the engine light started coming on. They told me they would change it but always gave me excuses for why they didn't have the replacement yet. After being after them for about six months I finally gave up. Over the last few years it's been a real problem to pass the emissions test. And this 'repair' wasn't cheap, I must have spent $2.000 on this job.
