Not a "modern' city bakery. Her style, desserts, food, along with her prices are very old school. You can't contact her online or send pics via text but there's a certain familiar feeling about dialing a phone (even if it's a cell phone) and actually speaking to a human on the other end and placing a order. Her food is fabulous but what should speak volumes is how long she's been in business. 31 years in this tiny town makes it rather apparent she knows what she's doing!
We pre-ordered, then picked up food for a large family who had lost a relative. The food got rave reviews, but the reception we got at Lorene's was nothing short of cold & pretty much indifferent. Apparently, they are in great demand because of their food, but that doesn't count for much when paired with them working shorthanded all the time (which makes for VERY poor customer service). Will think twice before giving them any business in the future.
