I visited the University of Kansas Hospital Emergency Room on a Sunday morning due to abdominal pain caused by a strangulated hernia. After a quick triage, I was seen immediately. The staff was incredibly kind and responded to my condition with urgency and professionalism. I underwent a CT scan and was in surgery within a couple of hours. I would caution anyone considering The University of Kansas Medical Authority and any of the facilities taken over by them. They are not very transparent with the patient on what and how things are billed, You will walk out paying much, much more than you expected going into an appointment. Unfortunately my doctor who I really like was in an Olathe clinic that was absorbed by The University of Kansas Medical Authority, and now I will need to find a different provider because of these billing practices.

KU MED is awesome! However the people working the front are lazy, unhelpful & unfriendly. If you have an elderly person don't expect any help loading, unloading or anything else from the staff at the front. Totally disgusted with the employees at the front entrance.

Loved their service, Mr. Hykal and all the staff are sweet and caring. Paul is the best nurse ever along with the others. They really help me better myself not just mentally but emotionally and physically. I love them and I highly recommend. Also, no they don't chain people to walls

Currently sitting here 2.5 HOURS waiting for eye drops for pink eye. Should have been an in and out visit. Just need a prescription. Very simple. Instead I’m still here 2.5 hours (and still haven’t had doctor come in) to get basic pink eye drops for my son. I’ve missed over half a day of work. Oh. And doctor came in and said “oh no nurse here” and shut the door. Except we HAVE been seen by a nurse, it’s just been so long the computer shut off. So now… who knows. Stuck waiting more. These people are not "Healthcare Professionals". After radiation treatments for throat cancer they will not work with me regarding my teeth that were destroyed because of the radiation. They want a few thousand dollars before they will do anything. I am grateful for the cancer treatment I received at The University of Kansas cancer center, but you would think after receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars the system would follow through with their patients. DO NOT use KU Dental!!!

Overall, we had a poor experience at Marillac and will avoid using them for similar needs in the future. Also, their billing practices are absurd. For example, we were billed separately for a forced follow-up telehealth appt with a provider as well as a facility charge (what?!). This required us to make two copays for a single telehealth "visit". We have never encountered this nonsense with any other medical provider.

My child"s stay was stellar. She was prescribed meds for depression and adhd and showed GREAT improvement. She was SO much happier almost immediately beginning with her time there. We were told at discharge that if we had problems getting in somewhere and getting her adhd med refilled to call. And............that is when the other shoe dropped....We were told it was being called in first day and additionally to call a week ahead the next month for the next refill ( We have an appt for intake at tricounty 2 months out but ... read more

Doc.is one of the best i have ever dealt with he cares about his patient and there family.his work is amazing you just dont get better than this man.
