This place used to be so much more beautiful before it was " developed". I used to hike up here with my grandpa and pick blackberries on the very spot where the observatory is now the views of the city used to be amazing and you could camp on top the fire pit on the top Trail next to the big old tree used to be they are going back 100 years. Sad days ever since they clear cut the trees 20 some odd years ago
Can get a bit crowded and trails aren't well marked but still an excellent quick hike close to town!
Very interesting! The astronomers were friendly and helpful.
