zzzzzz An upper west side institution, Longs is the place to go for mattresses. You can try out so many different types, and the staff are extremely warm and friendly. Delivery no problem, very reliable.

Paul S. Im not sure what Jrieger is talking about in terms of "no-name" brands, but anyone who wants to shop at Long's Bedding can see their brands on their website. The man that I worked with at the store was very kind and helpful and completely lacked the aggressive salesmen approach that other chain stores have. He also told me about their price guarantee that states "if you find the same mattress at another store for cheaper, you can buy it at that price." They value you as a shopper Longs bedding has been around a while and is also family owned so they want to make you feel as if your patronage is appreciated and valued, which it surely is. They specialize in mattress and box springs as well as variety of different sofa beds and headboards.

Terrific place to buy a mattress A really pleasant surprise. Low key, knowledgable salespeople and no hard sell. My wife and I found a terrific Queen set for under $1000. They don't negotiate on price and we never felt pressured to buy, a welcome change from our experiences at the chain stores. Delivery was prompt and courteous as well. We almost didn't check them out because we live all the way downtown but it was definitely worth the trip. Just a terrific place to buy a mattress.
