First formed several thousand years ago, Longhorn Cavern is the highlight of this Texas State Park. Throughout the years, the limestone cavern has housed Comanche Indians, served as a Confederate Army stronghold, and may have been a hiding place of notorious Texas outlaw, Sam Bass. Longhorn Cavern State Park offers daily tours of the cavern, as well as other themed and special interest events such as the geology, paranormal, and photography tours, which are offered monthly or by appointment.

We had an amazing time touring Longhorn Caverns with Jim as our guide! He was super friendly, engaging, and kept the whole group entertained with his fun jokes. He made the tour both informative and so much fun! I’d highly recommend booking a tour with Jim anytime you visit. He really made the experience unforgettable!
We took the Saturday morning Black Light Tour with Jim as our guide. The tour was full of beautiful sights and lots of fun. Quite educational too!
