About this business

First formed several thousand years ago, Longhorn Cavern is the highlight of this Texas State Park. Throughout the years, the limestone cavern has housed Comanche Indians, served as a Confederate Army stronghold, and may have been a hiding place of notorious Texas outlaw, Sam Bass. Longhorn Cavern State Park offers daily tours of the cavern, as well as other themed and special interest events such as the geology, paranormal, and photography tours, which are offered monthly or by appointment.

Tanner did an amazing job giving us a tour of the cavern. He made the tour entertaining with his puns while also keeping it very informative. I would highly recommend a visit here.

It's a really nice tour. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a long tour hour and a 1/2 plus make sure you bring comfortable shoes and are prepared to duck. Definitely. Do not recommend it for children under 3 as it does cause problems with ear pressure. They also have a really nice gift shop.
