I had a terrible experience because I rented a room there and after you rented it they sent you an email saying that it was in a partial construction project and that the elevator was not going to work. They gave you another room on the first floor. When you arrived, you found out that the hotel was under construction on the entire third floor, which caused dust contamination and noise from early on. We had a great stay at The Longboat Key Club! The spacious, clean room and daily breakfast on the balcony were highlights. We even spotted a manatee! The peaceful location made for a perfect vacation. We highly recommend it and hope to return every year!
Security getting in stinks, big beared young man, takes forever, another security guard delay. I have turned around again, and after 11 years, my family will not be coming back and I will suggest to my clients, not to visit. The main club, is fantastic, and gate is run by professionals. Cheers
