had a great time going through this tour ..the guide is very informative and there is a fair bit to see unlike a lot of mines that are basicly tunnels .....mine is unique because they had boilers set up inside the mine and that room is still visible minus boilers of course ..definitely worth a visit and the amazing town of Valhalla is worth it just to see that
We went on the Walhalla Gold Mine tour today, and our tour guide was Hayley. We had a great time and learnt so much about how times were tough mining in the early days. Hayley was a wealth of knowledge and made the tour fun, my grandson even found gold lol. We came home and Googled more on the history of Walhalla, this little town has so much heritage and history, it's well worth the the trip. Next time we are doing the ghost tour and the Walhalla train 🚂. Thank you Hayley for an amazing day.
Hayley gave us a wonderful and informative tour of the mine. What a lovely knowledgable host, who took her time, unhurried and answered all of our questions - despite the two of us being the only two people on the tour. She shared some very real facts about the mine and the hardship that miners faced, with deep respect for them and the lives they lived in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Fascinating and incredibly interesting, without being shallow or insensitive. Thanks Hayley
