The service was good.The food was really bad.Stale and very greasy
I ordered two of the $6 shrimp baskets. One grilled and one battered. Both delicious and very filling. Ordered an extra side of coleslaw and it tasted homemade. I didn't give the food a full five stars because I didn't care for the rice that came with the grilled shrimp. But, the food quality is still the same, good LJS food.
This was my first time eating here ever since they rebuilt the restaurant. The food was good, and the price was not bad. Really glad they did a complete refresh of this place, because the last time I was here before the rebuild, I couldn't tell if I had been served chicken or fish. That's pretty messed up! The food was very good this time. I still miss the little crunchy bits that used to get included when I was a little kid
I used to drive all the way from Huntsville to eat at this location because the one here opened and closed several times before closing for good a few years ago and sits as an eyesore in the middle of town.i went to eat today 3/22/26 for a late lunch. The atmosphere as far as the updated LOOK is the only thing this location has that’s attractive. The service staff behind the counter were welcoming and nice though!
