Beware - I’ve never posted a review and I would like to share my experience with long energy to hopefully save someone from the catastrophe I had to deal with because of them. I will start with I had an outdoor oil tank that they filled and it leaked out entirely within a couple of days. They claim that they do not inspect tanks and that it is the owners responsibility which I disagree with but according to NYS law the energy companies are not liable. I have been looking for a long term relationship with an oil provider for quite a while and I have found that in Long Energy particularly the Ravena office. Cate Zakens and her colleague Jean in the Ravena office have been super responsive. I have a number of buildings in the area and during this cold season there have been several no heat calls and I have found Long Energy to respond in a timely manner and dispatch staff promptly so that my tenants are not without heat. After a service tech cleaned my boiler, the hot water was not consistent. I called and spoke with professional and friendly office staff, who scheduled a tech visit. The tech suggested a coil was to blame, and based on age of boiler suggested either a stand alone hot water tank or a new furnace. My instincts were skeptical. Fortunately for me, a family friend is an HVAC tech. He came over and loosened the stuck mixer valve, and what do you know! The hot water issue was resolved! I have been with These guys since i first moved to Ravena in 2006. I love dealing with Jeanne and Cate and the rest of the Ravena branch for the past 18 years. You couldn't ask for a nicer group of people. Shout out to Jason as well who always goes above and beyond to make it right !!
