Pari-Mutual Betting Horse Track Lone Star Park is a world class horse track located off Interstate 30 west in Grand Prairie. Guests can easily spend "a day at the races" here. 4th of July I have only been here a couple of times, but the one time that I did, they had the best fireworks show that I had ever seen. They had a giant kids area with bounce houses and games. The food was great, but a bit pricy. My favorite part was them playing a patriotic song while the fireworks were going off. PROS: Fireworks were best I had ever seen CONS: pricy food
Beautiful Track and Facility This is a very beautiful track. The area is well maintained and well kept. I always have a great time here no matter where you sit. The suites are wonderful and have great service and a fabulous buffet. The ground level is nice and there are areas for children. The food is good and the prices are average for this type of venue. They also have great other activities that happen here at the track. We have been here for 4th of July fireworks which was very family friendly.
Fun Environment I love going to Lone Star Park! it's So fun! the employees are friendly, the characters are fun and it's just altogether fun to go to watch the live races! though the inside is a bit crowded with all the people betting, and the food is quiet expensive, it's still a lot of fun and i always enjoy going!
Wish they had the slot machines! Live or simulated racing is available here. I had heard that they were trying to get slot machines here and that would just add to the value of the park if they offered slot machines. Live horse racing is very nice at the park. The track is clean, and the food is great.
Great Holiday Celebrations This is the best place especially on a holiday when not only do they have horse racing but they also have activities for the kids. The firework show at 4th of July was outstanding where you bring your chair and a blanket for the kids and relax in the grassy open area.
