My experience with Lonestar Neurology was extremely disappointing, particularly regarding patient communication, organization, & follow-up care. Before my appointment on October 14, I never received instructions or an opportunity to complete new patient paperwork online. Upon arrival, I was handed a large packet of paperwork that had been stapled so far down the left side that portions were difficult to read. The visit was very pleasant. Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Bonda was very nice and informative. He is very soft spoken so it would be better if he could speak a little louder- especially for elderly people. He is a wonderful Neurologist!
I like the doctor and the PA, rest of the staff (including billing) leaves a lot to be desired. Had a significant credit after first appointment of the year that is not reflected on my account with the front desk. Every time I go in they try to get me to pay my portion instead of deducting it from the available credit. My appointments are delayed while they work with billing to confirm the credit exists. Dr. Bonda and the Nurse Practitioner are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. However, the front desk staff is quite rude. Despite Dr. Bonda and the Nurse Practitioner clearly stating that the test would be performed the same day, the front desk staff asked me to come on a different day. They even neglected to check with the doctor or the Nurse Practitioner.
