this was an astounding place!! we got there late at night in the rain so we couldnt see much, we got in the cabin and OMG everything was beautiful! it wasnt the cleanest but its a cabin the the middle of nowhere, what do you expect! we awoke in the morning to be surrounded by Birch trees and fields of flowers! then we went on the hike, it was almost 10 miles but worth every minute!! everything was so beautiful and peaceful! i would love to go back! I have a lot more photos on my old phone
They have updated the beds and now it's two sets of bunk beds and a queen. So another reviewer asked if you don't have a four-wheel drive vehicle the best way to go is from Norwood it's extremely easy You don't really need four wheel drive to come from the south but you need something better than a little car I drive a four-wheel drive Infiniti QX56 I go all over the place but I can definitely see a small four-door not making it very comfortably. So come from Norwood.
we tried to get to the place in the south but last 8 miles of the forest rd seems to be 4x4 only. Did anyone know if the road from Norwood is 4x4 only?
Absolutely beautiful. Best place in CO. We had great time here for 4th of July weekend.
