This was the worst experience you could imagine. The first time we called the owner was rude on the phone and said to not waste his time. Since we have never hired a fireplace specialist before we still decided to have him come out to the house. We were quoted on the phone around $600 for a chimney sweep and inspection. I called to get a ballpark estimate of what the price would be to have my chimney cleaned. First he questioned how I could live in the town I said I did with my phone number. (I called on my cell.) Then after I asked for a general estimate he said, “Do you actually believe someone can do that?” I said I have in the past and he said no one can do that so go get someone else to do it and hung up on me. I’m not sure I have ever had a business owner be so rude to me.

Jim Collar was on time, professional and courteous. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable on all aspects of the chimney and fireplace. He performed a pre purchase inspection for our home so we were able to go into negotiations better prepared for what type and amount of work would be needed to bring the fireplaces to safe working condition. We will be having him do the repair on the chimneys now that we have purchased the home. I highly recommend London Aire Chimney Services.
