Our experience with Lombardo Homes after closing has been disappointing. While the sales and construction process moved along as expected, the true test of a builder is how they handle warranty concerns. In our case, issues identified and documented during the 30-day walk were later dismissed at the 11-month review. I am a 12 year vet hvac install manager, I built my home in 2022 through Lombardo in New Haven. I just want to make sure anyone who hasn’t been around new construction/ final construction knows about the work they do. I’ve had to finish caulk and repaint my whole exterior from neglect to finish. They didn’t fill in any nail holes on the exterior. While I have not worked directly with Lombardo, my neighbors did and I'm still suffering the consequences. We live on a private (self maintained road). The amount of truck traffic destroyed our road. When I confronted the superintendent for a solution, he said they "can't leave the jobsite", but they had no problem leaving a mess on the way in. Had our house built in the Stillwater Crossing community on 23 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI in 2023. Below average quality for a corresponding above average price. Lombardo took over 15-1/2 months to build our house. They ordered and installed wrong roof trusses on our home which they had to modify with plywood. They ordered a too long steel floor I-Beam which had to be cut. They installed brick incorrectly, lights in the wrong place, windows too high... all of which had to be pointed out to them to get corrected. Their neighborhood ... read more
