I would personally strongly advise against doing a volunteer placement at Lokahi Garden Sanctuary. I undertook a very long journey of over 60 hours and the considerable costs of an overseas trip for this volunteering experience. This made what I encountered on arrival all the more disappointing. The listing says they are open until five, we were here before 4 o’clock, and the gate was closed, and we had to back all the way down the drive
Natalie was great and graciously accommodated us last minute. She was very knowledgeable about different pain relieving techniques and addressed some of my chronic stress pain in shoulder. Farm also has super friendly dogs and cats, definitely would visit again next time! ❤️
