Good food, great service!
The food and service were okay, but nothing special. Food prices were moderate, but $6.00 for a domestic draft beer is ridiculous.
The chicken fried steak is amazing.
Had lunch there yesterday. The salad bar, though small, was very fresh. I had the fried shrimp basket. Their house-made cocktail sauce was as good as I'd make for myself at home, i.e. none of that bottled stuff, simply perfect. I'll definitely eat there again if visiting Portola or passing through at mealtime.
We had dinner here tonight, it was so pleasant, there was a man playing the piano, everyone was so nice and the food was excellent, we had the special pot roast with mashed potatoes and vegetables, perfect for a Sunday night, we will be back!!
