Such a beautifully crafted log cabin in a secluded area of Thurmont. We enjoyed our time here. It is extremely spacious! It was nice to have a nice fire going in the fireplace every night and enjoy the game room in the basement. It's super close to Cunningham State Park for those who like to wander as well. We will most certainly be back to enjoy the cabin once again. The owner is very hospitable and so easy to coordinate to schedule a stay here. If you want to get away for a long weekend (or more!) this is such a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of space for a large group to relax, cook, hike, etc. Dave, the owner, is so easy to work with and an all around nice guy. You won't regret staying at the Log Cabin in the Woods!
This was our first time coming down to this area as most of us are local to New Jersey and southern Maryland, but my group had a great time. The cabin is a wonderful work of art, the area is exactly what you picture for a woodsy, outdoor experience. Great winehouse near by, a few trails that we had the pleasure of hiking as well. Dave, the owner, was wonderful to talk to and very quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had. Will be coming again next time around.
