An absolute gem surrounded by the most wilderness of any resort in Northern MN.
We had a great time at the Lodge of Whispering Pines. Our group of 6 rented two brand new canoes and stayed at the lodge for two nights. The facilities (sauna, showers and bathroom) were all very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. We’d like to give a shout out to Cody and Maya for making our stay so memorable!! Thanks for the pizza!!
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed there on both ends of five days up Stuart River to Lac Lacroix. Clean showers/bathrooms were welcome and the basecamp lodge was a great wind down space.
Our family stayed in the Historic Lodge with young children this past week and we had a great stay. The grounds are well kept, everyone was so friendly and the views were wonderful to wake up to every morning. The lodge is 100 years old which is cool to think about but is noticeable within/outside the cabin. Also, seems like it was the old office so we did have a couple people walk in on accident and apologize afterwards lol.
