I was thinking mission BBQ taste . As a chef myself. I had it once before and it was delicious now I can't say I'll ever come back .
I was very disappointed in the portion size and flavor of the brisket and grits. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place as much as I wanted to.
Whoa, as a African American. I walked in the door and the entire staff looked at me like they did Eddie Murphy in 48hrs. Never ever again. Good luck though.
So disappointed! After searching for a BBQ place on my trip I decided to try this place out. The first thing I should have noticed was that outside and in it didn't smell anything like BBQ. I was in on a Friday midday and it was empty. I ordered the smoked lamb sandwich, pasta salad, and 5 cheese mac and cheese. The smoked lamb was dry and lacking flavor. After recently seeing a rerun of DDD I decided to take a drive and give this place a try. Was confused that most of the reviews are almost 6 years old. After arriving I was surprised to see that “Locale BBQ Post” has been rebranded to “The Post” and now has a separate google page. Although it is still BBQ and pickle focused the new restaurant is a bit more upscale. The menu is definitely at a higher price point but not at all overpriced.
