Very disappointing recent visit. The pizzas were burnt on the bottom and undercooked on the inside. We agreed that the lettuce-covered enchiladas weren't good, but the steak was. The sauteed mushrooms were also good. The service was at least as disappointing. They took our beer orders, but never served them. The restaurant was not super busy at the time, so there's no excuse. we are in sitting in front of a very dark and closed restaurant at 8:17 PM which advertises itself to be open until 9 PM. No way to run a business.
We rode the Cumbres and Toltec Express and got back to Chama around 5pm. We went across the road to find a spot for dinner. We are so glad we stopped here. Everything we ordered was gourmet and delicious. Two flavors of wings, a pizza, a Caesar salad, the chipotle brussel sprouts, and the green chile mac and cheese. All of it was delicious, well presented, and with generous portions. You wouldn't know if from the menu, but there is a real chef in the back making real food. This was an unexpected post train ride treat.
Despite google listing and website saying they are temporarily closed, the neon in the window said open so we went it. Menu consists mostly of steak and pizza. The brussel sprouts and mushrooms side were super flavorful, as was the pizza. Steak needed a touch more flavor but was still good! The chef said they had only been open 4 weeks, hopefully their marketing and information gets sorted so they stay a float. Seems like a good addition to the sweet town of Chama
