I’m glad this place exists and would definitely check it out if you are in chelsea as a tourist. It’s always abuzz and I love the ambiance and cafeteria style of the restaurant. That being said it is very expensive and the food is nothing special. I don’t understand why the lobster poutine comes with the shell? By the time you get the lobster from the shell the gravy has all but cooled down.
This place is great! Huge portions and really great flavor! Such a cute atmosphere too inside Chelsea Market!
Chelsea Market can be maddening with the throngs of people, and certainly there's no ambience to speak of at The Lobster Place, but if you're looking for a really great lobster roll in New York City (and quick!), this is the place. I usually get the combo, which is clam chowder soup and lobster roll (either 4 oz or 6 oz).
Went several time, a bit pricy but nice lobster, roll ans soup. Nice beer sélection as well
