the bad reviews are all true and rite on the money Awfull
fresh seafood at a great price – this is a great seafood restorante in the hudson valley. if you are looking for redlobster than you are in the wrong place. if you are looking for a north eastern style seafood and stake joint than you are in the rite place. it is a cofortable dining room and the service is great. i have been there a few times and have yet to be disapointed.
Bad Service – The waiter barely spoke English, made an error charging my credit card, forced to wait 45 minutes so the problem could be resolved, the "manager-Billy" was rude and unprofessional and should be wiping tables at a fast food restaurant. No apology for being inconvenienced. The whole place felt dirty. Mediocre food.
red lobster wishes they were this good – went here on a total fluke, seeing the sign off of rt 17. this place is such a find. i ordered the neptune special (4 of their top seafood specials) afraid that i wouldn't like something. i eat everything, and my fiance and i were shocked at how good everything was. the salad bar had fresh shrimp, crab salad, tuna salad, etc. crabcakes were best ever. stuffing for lobster was outrageous. i don't get the subpar ratings of others. maybe i was there on a good night, or they were there at... read more
Contrary to the other reviews, this isn't a bad restaurant – My girlfriend and I have gone to this restaurant twice and both times we've left very satisfied. Go catch the early bird special because it's the best deal: two meals plus bread and salad bar for roughly $25.
Bad brunch – I went with a group to this restaurant for brunch, and it was awful! The selection was okay, but everything looked horrible, like it had been sitting out for hours. Presentation was just awful and the food was bland and boring. I was so disappointed. A seafood brunch sounds like such a great idea and I was hopeful that this would be a regular spot for my family, but I'll never go back.
Dissapointed – We went to this restaurant because we had a gift certificate, Thank God we didn't have to pay for this food. This place was suppose to be a seafood place and the shrimp that I had for entree felt like the fake shrimp that you buy in the frozen section of the grocery store. My fiancé had a steak which was charred and tasteless. The service was horrible, the waitress didn't even acknowledge us during the entire meal. I definitely will never go there again.
