I've been using this pharmacy for many years. But lately, there's been nothing but problems. Staff blame the system. Or the prescribing doctor, when my prescription doesn't show up online. I have to call them continuously. So what's the point of having it online?!
Decently consistent service, some staff will probably misgender you if you are trans. Eventually I plan to switch pharmacies because what are we doing honestly if the staff is going to misgender you when you're literally picking up hormones. Its one thing not to know its another not to take a hint
I cannot recommend this pharmacy due to significant billing errors and poor service. A staff member incorrectly told me I had no insurance coverage, forcing me to pay out of pocket. It was later confirmed that I was covered all along. The issue was only resolved because a pharmacist from an unaffiliated store had to walk them through the process over the phone. The staff were dismissive and lacked basic knowledge regarding insurance billing, which caused me unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
It is quite possibly the worst pharmacy in Edmonton, and 1 star is being generous. I am not exaggerating when I say that getting prescriptions refilled at SS became something like a full-time job for me. They could never give me a date when my Rx would be ready. There was no app, and they don't answer the phone if it's busy, so it was not unusual for me to return in person 3 or 4x to get my Rx filled.
