LIES LIES LIES. Everything about this company is just a scam. I've worked in the Mortgage industry for 6 years and I never could imagine a refinance experience being more unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. They made countless mistakes that delayed my closing several times and caused problems with my current mortgage servicer. Hidden fees and poor communication are the hallmark of this company.
Business response:
The borrower caused lock extension fees when he did not respond to our requests for documents for an extended period of time. The lock was going to expire and required an extension in order to close. It was not a hidden fee, it was completely compliant and included on the closing disclosure.
The final loan was in line with what they first estimated, and it was an easy process. The process for uploading docs, and working out issues, to-do items was clear.
I'm disappointed in LoanFlight. Instead of proactively communicating with me regarding their concerns given my unique situation, they decided to treat me like a criminal. And when I tried to communicate with them once I figured out what the issue was, they decided to ghost me. I guess they're too busy to give even average customer service. Don't use LoanFlight. Pay a little more for what's probably going to be a much better experience with anyone else.
Started this process in the early month of March2020 during the covid crisis. Housing market was primed for Refi and I went ahead with my due diligence in online shopping. Found a great rate and opportunity through LoanFlight. After what was a quick and sufficent 2 weeks and an appraisal things took a horrible turn. Beware thier lenders require walls in insurance

Mr. ******, We are sorry that we could not complete the refinance you were looking to complete, however, we are only following guidance from 2009 and after regarding the need for H06 or 'walls-in' insurance coverage. Fannie Mae and subsequently Freddie Mac/FHA/VA now require an H06 policy if the Master Policy for the Homeowner's Association does not cover betterments or improvements of an individual condominium unit.
