I hand been and current still a loan depot customer. Been for years! Never been late on a payment ever! My A/C went out in my house and I had to fork out 10k. I asked loan depot if I could defer a payment to help me catch a break after forking out that kinda money in an emergency. They said I need to be 30 days late on my payment which would ding my credit before they can defer a payment. What kind of messed up crap is that? When I recently got the loan, I was told the first 36 months would be interest only unless I made extra for principal on the loan. It’s been past the 36 months and now just I’m told today that if I only paid the minimum payment I’d be paying just interest until 2033 Mind you I’ve already had the loan for three years. So 10 years of just interest you’re paying If you don’t make anything additional on top of your minimum payment.
