I took a home loan from through this branch of LoanDepot based on Carl Nielsen's guarantee that I would be able to recast it when the first rate was due (one month after closing). At that point, however, LoanDepot’s servicing department informed me that a recast wasn’t possible at the time and that they couldn’t even guarantee that it would ever be possible.
